Austin Kleon's Ted Talk: Don't Worry Too Much About Artistic Originality

Austin Kleon is here to tell us that we don't need to worry about being original - because there isn't really a purely original thing that can be created. In the process of this Ted Talk video Kleon talks about how "originality" is really a transformative mash-up of the influence of others - especially those ideas and creations that have a meaningful impact on us. Next time you feel utter disgust at how fabulously talented someone is let them inspire you like Austin Kleon suggests in this video. As an artist you are selectively collecting ideas and information that will be blended together in the creation of your artwork.
