Ladder to Another Place: Jeremy Miranda's Paintings

Painting of ladder underwater leaning on cliff
Jeremy Miranda's paintings transform space, taking it to extraordinary places. I love his work and the combination of cold reality with the glowingly surreal. I'd say that the words glow and space come to mind whenever I am looking at any of Jeremy's paintings. He seems to play with these two elements frequently. He chops up spaces and rearranges them with ease while keeping composition in mind. His handling of materials is nothing short of amazing, the perfect balance of realistic depiction with looser, more expressive brush strokes. I love, love, love it. Keep it cozy under the sea.
