Each week we present a collection of artwork from a variety of artists curated around a common theme. This week the theme is Suburbia. As in mowing the lawn and chatting with the neighbours.  I chose the theme of suburbia in order to explore the world of stifling carpets, the anonymity of the homogenous suburban house and the harrowing drone of a distant lawnmower. There is a darkness lurking behind that beige facade of suburbia and the artists in this collection are giving me the sense that the mask may slip at any moment, shattering the monotony of another weekday in the suburbs. Here are some carefully selected artworks curated around the idea of suburbia.
