Fantastic Favourites: Ronnie Spiewak, Douglas Moulden, Jim Holbrook
Let’s take a look at some of our favourite works from three different artists. Though these three artists work in very different media and styles, they share in their well-defined sense of aesthetics and contemporary approach to their subject matter.
Ronnie Spiewak
Ronnie is a Maryland-based artist who works primarily in the medium of collage. Using an exacto knife and various colourful two-dimensional materials, the artist creates layered abstractions with a beautiful sense of movement and energy.

Douglas Moulden
Douglas is a painter who elevates the humble brush mark into a medium in its own right. In his practice, Douglas produces paintings of trees, country cottages, and other pastoral subjects, using a kind of gestural pointillism to build a rich sense of light, shadow, and volume in each piece.
Jim Holbrook
Photographer Jim Holbrook is based in New Mexico, where he captures landscapes both natural and cultural. Throughout his photographic portfolio, Jim lays bare the faces of his local community and landscape.
