Studio Sundays: the Art Studio of Maurice Sendak

Photo of illustrator Maurice Sendak in studio

Every Sunday we give you a behind-the-scenes tour into the heart of creativity, the artist's studio. This week we visit the art studio of the famous illustrator and children's book author, Maurice Sendak.  This acclaimed artist brought such thoughtful themes into his books that they are beloved by people of all ages. He talked about being consoled by the works of Emily Dickinson because she was brave, strong and passionate and I think in turn that he passed that along this spirit of consolation to another generation of readers.
